Does canvas printing fade?

Although nothing lasts forever, we guarantee the long-term quality of our printing thanks to the use of fade-resistant inks. Typically, the time during which these inks retain their brightness indoors is about 8 years.

Does the paint have an unpleasant odor?

No. We use water-based pigment inks. They are harmless, odorless, non-toxic. Therefore, the photo can be hung in a nursery or bedroom without any problems.

What material is used for printing?

Printing is done on natural canvas with a density of 350 g / m2 or 370 g / m2. We also print on matte 170 g / m2 and glossy 180 g / m2 paper.

Will I get the same colors on the painting as on the monitor screen?

We do our best to make what you see on the screen as close as possible to what will be printed on canvas or paper. However, it is impossible to make it completely identical. This is due to the mismatch of monitor brightness and saturation settings. Each client has their own settings, so there is no way to adjust our printing parameters to the parameters of each of our clients’ monitors. In addition, any screen glows, but the canvas does not. Thus, the image on the screen will always be brighter than the printed one.

What is gallery stretching and what types of stretching exist?

Gallery stretching is a type of stretching on a stretcher bar, produced in such a way that the canvas is attached with staples on the back of the stretcher bar, and the ends of the painting depict a continuation of the painting. With this type of stretching, you can hang the painting without a frame.

We also offer stretching in the usual (classic) way – when the staples are on the end of the painting.

There is also a flatbed method – white side, staples on the back.

The image size for regular stretching is 1:1 with the size of the work, for gallery stretching it has an additional plane of 3.5 cm on each side.

How is a painting packed for sending by mail?

We pack paintings as securely as possible. First, the painting is packed in several layers of bubble wrap, and then, according to the carrier’s rules, in a box or corrugated cardboard.

How to care for a painting printed on canvas?

To remove dust from the canvas, we recommend using brushes or soft cloth napkins. The main thing is not to rub the canvas.

What to do if the canvas sags?

To make stretch bar for paintings, chamber-dried wood with a moisture content of up to 12% is used. If a certain humidity and temperature coincide, the stretch bar or canvas can deform, as a result of which the canvas can lose tension. If you encounter such a problem, you can try to fix it yourself with a hair dryer. Heating the canvas tightens its threads and eliminates the sagging of the painting. If this method does not help, contact us, we will diagnose the problem, if necessary, we will re-stretch the canvas or replace the stretch bars.
